Throckmorton’s is a general second-hand bookshop with a stock of about 15,000 books on a variety of subjects. As well as a large general Fiction stock we have Crime, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, Poetry, Drama and Erotica, all in both paperbacks and First Editions.
Our non-fiction stock includes Gardening & Horticulture, Cookery, Architecture, Topography, Antiques & Collectables, Flora & Fauna, Science, Transport, Politics, War & Espionage, History, Art & Design, Craft, Photography, Cinema, Music, Psychology, Philosophy, Religion, Mind, Body & Spirit, Mystery & Occult, True Crime, Reference and Children’s Books. We also have a special section of Beat Generation books (fiction & non-fiction) supplied by Kevin Ring of Beat Scene magazine www.beatscene.net.
In addition to books we also stock second-hand CDs, vinyl records & videos. Our music stock is mostly Jazz & Classical with a smattering of Rock, Pop etc.
